The carrier profile changes.
It might be the first power-up, a customer moving the device to a new carrier, or LinQ1Zero falling back to its global backup profile during an outage.
NewBuilt into LinQ1Zero
NuvoAutoLinQ sets the correct APN on every device with a LinQ1Zero SIM, for every carrier profile. Devices connect on first power-up, stay connected through network changes and keep their settings locked to the right values.
01 The problem
A wrong APN, the setting that tells a device which network gateway to use, is one of the most common reasons connected devices fail to come online. The device shows full signal but goes nowhere.
02 How it works
Every time a LinQ1Zero SIM activates or changes carrier profile, NuvoAutoLinQ runs the same three steps. No server command, no site visit and no firmware change.
It might be the first power-up, a customer moving the device to a new carrier, or LinQ1Zero falling back to its global backup profile during an outage.
The NuvoLinQ applet on the LinQ1Zero eUICC works out the right APN for whichever carrier profile is now active. The decision is made on the SIM itself.
The device connects with the right settings. Because they’re enforced from the SIM, they hold until the next profile change and can’t drift through local changes.
03 Two editions
Most devices follow the 3GPP standard for receiving network settings. Plenty of purpose-built hardware doesn’t. NuvoAutoLinQ has an edition for each, and the SIM decides which one does the work.
Ready from the factory. NuvoLinQ is working with device manufacturers to install NuvoAutoLinQ at the factory, so devices arrive ready to connect.
04 Always On
LinQ1Zero already detects when data has stopped getting through, not just when signal drops. NuvoAutoLinQ makes sure the device connects properly on whichever network it moves to.
LinQ1Zero runs active data-path checks, so it catches the outage a signal meter misses: the device is attached to the tower, but no traffic is getting through.
When the primary network fails, LinQ1Zero switches to a global backup profile with access to more than 350 operator networks. The decision is made on the SIM, so it doesn’t depend on reaching a cloud platform mid-outage.
NuvoAutoLinQ applies the APN the new profile needs, so data keeps flowing without a server command, a site visit or a firmware change.
05 What you get
NuvoAutoLinQ moves APN configuration out of the warehouse and the field, and into the SIM. Here’s what that means for a LinQ1Zero fleet.
The correct APN is set automatically, including on hardware whose modem won’t accept carrier settings.
No pre-configuring devices, kitting SIMs or sending a technician to key in settings.
Configuration is enforced from the SIM, so it holds across profile switches and can’t be changed locally by accident.
Error detection identifies misconfigured devices and corrects the required APN and communications configurations.
Models that were too awkward to configure reliably can now join the fleet.
Bring the models that give you trouble. We’ll show you how they configure themselves.

NuvoAutoLinQ is NuvoLinQ's proprietary technology that configures the cellular settings on devices with a LinQ1Zero SIM automatically. Whenever the SIM activates or changes carrier profile, it identifies the APN that profile needs and sets it on the device. Devices connect on first power-up and stay connected after every network change, with no pre-configuration, kitting or technician.
An APN (access point name) is the setting that tells a device which network gateway to use. If it is wrong, the device can show full signal and still pass no data. Many modems in purpose-built hardware such as payment terminals don't fully follow the standards that let carriers push these settings, so APNs often end up entered by hand.
The eUICC Edition runs on the LinQ1Zero SIM and sets the APN on any device whose modem follows the 3GPP standard, independently of the device operating system. The Android Edition covers modems that don't: a companion application trusted by the LinQ1Zero eUICC configures APNs at the operating-system level on devices running Android 7 and later.
LinQ1Zero detects when data stops getting through, not just when signal drops, and switches to a global backup profile with access to more than 350 operator networks. When that happens, or when a device moves to a new carrier, NuvoAutoLinQ applies the matching APN for the new profile, with no server command, site visit or firmware change.
No. NuvoAutoLinQ enforces the configuration from the SIM, so it holds across carrier profile switches and can't be changed locally by accident. Its error detection also identifies misconfigured devices and corrects the required APN and communications settings, so a device doesn't sit on the wrong configuration until someone notices.
NuvoAutoLinQ is available to customers using a LinQ1Zero SIM, as an enhancement to the LinQ1Zero platform. NuvoLinQ is also working with device manufacturers to install it at the factory, so devices arrive ready to connect. To book a demonstration, contact the NuvoLinQ sales team through the contact page.
