1. Purpose

The purpose of this Accessibility Policy is to outline our company’s commitment to providing accessible information technology, network services, and digital solutions to all individuals, including people with disabilities. As a provider of technology services, we recognize our responsibility to ensure that our products, services, and internal practices support equitable access and remove barriers to participation.

2. Scope

This policy applies to:
– All digital products, platforms, and services developed, maintained, or delivered by the company
– All internal and external websites, applications, and client-facing systems
– All procurement activities involving technology, software, or digital content
– All employees, contractors, and third-party vendors engaged in design, development, deployment, or support activities

3. Policy Statement

Our company is committed to ensuring that our technology solutions, digital content, and service delivery practices are accessible to all users. We strive to create an inclusive environment where individuals with disabilities can access, understand, and use our products and services without barriers.

We align our accessibility efforts with national accessibility priorities and industry best practices, including the principles of universal design, equitable access, and continuous improvement.

4. Accessibility Standards

To support this commitment, we work toward meeting or exceeding the following standards:
– Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA
– CAN/ASC EN 301 549 – Accessibility requirements for ICT products and services

These standards guide our approach to digital design, development, procurement, and testing.

5.2 Employees and Contractors
– Follow accessibility best practices in design, development, documentation, and support
– Participate in accessibility training as required
– Report accessibility barriers or concerns promptly

5.3 Procurement and Vendor Management
– Evaluate third-party products and services for accessibility compliance
– Require vendors to demonstrate alignment with WCAG 2.1 AA or CAN/ASC EN 301 549
– Include accessibility requirements in contracts and procurement documentation

6. Accessible Design and Development Practices

We incorporate accessibility into our workflows by:
– Applying inclusive design principles from project initiation through deployment
– Ensuring digital content is perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust
– Conducting accessibility testing using automated tools and assistive technologies
– Providing alternative formats or accessible pathways upon request
– Documenting accessibility considerations in project plans and technical specifications

7. Training and Awareness

We provide training and resources to ensure employees understand:
– Accessibility standards and requirements
– Inclusive design principles
– How to identify and remove accessibility barriers
– How to support clients and users with accessibility needs

Training is reviewed and updated regularly to reflect evolving standards and technologies.

10. Compliance

Failure to comply with this policy may result in corrective action, including additional training, process adjustments, or disciplinary measures where appropriate. Vendors who fail to meet accessibility expectations may be subject to contract review or termination.

11. Policy Review and Amendments

This policy will be reviewed annually or as required due to changes in legislation, standards, or organizational needs. Amendments must be approved by executive leadership.
